The SSM Achievement Award Committee has chosen Amy Langville from the Department of Mathematics for the 2005/2006 Annual SSM Achievement Award. Amy stands out in all areas, but was especially notable for her research achievements this year. In her first year here at the College, Amy has started her career at a sprint. In 2005-2006 Amy not only authored numerous papers and abstracts, she co-authored a book due out in June and she has been granted one of the very prestigious NSF CAREER awards. Amy is also already well-regarded by her students and we look forward to many spectacular years of research and teaching from Dr. Amy Langville.
